Open Gate is a member of La Strada International. The International La Strada Association (La Strada International/LSI) is a leading European NGO network that works to ensure a world without trafficking in human beings by promoting respect for human rights. The network comprises eight independent member organisations that operate from a grass-roots level. The members are based in Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Macedonia (FYROM), Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine and implement activities for advocacy, prevention and social support for trafficked persons and at-risk groups in order to empower them to exercise their rights.

Students, naive, quick decisions, see things as a joke, do not pay too much attention to what could be the consequence if one of their peers is sexually abused, nor do they know what is right and how to act appropriately if they find themselves in a situation where they are abused or a friend of theirs.

Victims of violence are often people who are afraid and do not have the courage to tell their torment and ask for help, they feel shame and fear, so everyone should be encouraged to educate to help those people, to ask them even when they doubt that something is wrong. Everyone needs help and support.
